How We Build and Maintain a Relationship with God

In ‭‭John‬ ‭11:25-26‬ it says that without faith we cannot live again, meaning we need to believe in God and have a relationship it’s him. It says, “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?’”

In this, he is telling us that we need that relationship with him, meaning that if we don’t believe in him we can’t be resurrected, which shows why keeping a relationship with God is important, because we can’t just know who he is and about him. It means that even though we already know about him, we can’t rely on that to count as a relationship.

A real relationship with himself knowing that exists and acknowledging that he exists and having faith in him, meaning that when you ask him for help on something, you believe that he will help you. A relationship also includes communicating with him back and forth not just doing things that look good on the outside. It also means that when we’re wrong we admit that we are wrong, and ask him for help with whatever we are dealing with.

How do we do that though, set a relationship with God when we are so busy with our lives? We know that we should set apart time during the day to just be with him, a devotional, showing that we want to build our relationship with him, but a relationship like just doesn’t build itself. We should do our best during the time we’ve set apart to connect with him.
